Orb Weaver Samhain visit👀
So, this absolute beauty showed up in my yard this week — a silver argiope orb weaver spinning her glistening web right between the palms and the alocasias.
I always pay attention when a spider arrives, and this time? The timing is chef’s kiss magical.
In Ted Andrews’ Animal Speak, the spider is the Weaver of Destiny; a reminder that we are constantly co-creating our lives with the threads we choose, the stories we speak, and the dreams we nurture.

Samhain is approaching.
The veil is thinner this time of year.
The worlds begin to touch.
Spider teaches us that connection is the bridge between the past and the future, the seen and the unseen, the ancestors and the living.
She sits in the center of her web, patient and knowing, trusting that what is meant for her will come.
This week, I took her appearance as a message to:
✨ slow down
✨ Choose my threads with care
✨ honor the stories I’ve outgrown
✨ and remember the magic I am constantly weaving
