Sometimes, I want to be the kitty in the washing machine, tucked away, safe, surrounded by selenite while the world spins outside.
Lately, with everything happening around us, it can feel like too much.
If you’ve been overwhelmed, please know you’re not alone. Wanting to retreat is a natural response.
But when hiding away isn’t an option, grounding can help us come back to ourselves and release what doesn’t belong to us.
It doesn’t have to be complicated, and it doesn’t have to look the same for everyone.
Here are a few gentle ways to ground when you’re feeling heavy or scattered:
✨ Earthing – step outside, place your bare feet or hands on the ground.
✨ Play – let your inner child guide you into joy.
✨ Dance – move your body, even just a little, to shake off stuck energy.
✨ Freewrite – let your thoughts spill onto the page, no judgment.
✨ Exercise – if it feels good, let movement burn away stress.
These are just a few ideas; choose what feels soothing and possible today.
